In celebration of Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital's 10-year endorsement anniversary,
we are excited to offer a special anniversary open window for enrollment into the Health Care Providers Group Insurance Plan to all eligible part-time, casual, Temporary, and Contract employees.
HCP is offering a one-time special open window to existing employees who may not have already enrolled or applied to the plan. This offer does not impact your current coverage, in lieu or any other options currently available to you through the hospital.
Health Care Providers Group Insurance Plan is an organization which has worked with hospital systems/organizations for over 25 years to offer voluntary group benefits to hospital employees across Canada.
Enrollment is guaranteed with no medical questions asked to those eligible in a 60-day open window.
Your 60 Day Open Window will take place from
May 1, 2026 to June 29, 2026
Guaranteed coverage offered during the 60-day open window includes the following:
Signature Package - Includes the core $10,000 of Life Insurance, $1,000 per month of Long-Term Disability and $25,000 of Accidental Death, Disease and Dismemberment. A great complimentary offer to those with existing health and dental coverage! Eligible to part-time and casual employees under age 65 working 18 hours or more per week.
Supreme Package - Offers the same core benefits as Signature plus Extended Health Care and Optional Dental! The Complete and Complete Plus Extended Health Care plans included in this package are only ever offered in a 60-day open window! This is a good fit for those who do not have any coverage elsewhere. Eligible to part-time and casual employees under age 65 working 18 hours or more per week.
Standard Package - Offers the same Extended Health Care and Optional Dental that is offered in the Supreme Package. This package is designed for future retirees, part time or casual employees over age 65 or under the age of 65 working less than 18 hours per week and temporary or contract employees.
Package eligibility is determined based on employment status, average weekly hours, and age.
