NON-ENDORSING HOSPITAL FAQ

NON-ENDORSING HOSPITALS FAQ

NEED MORE INFORMATION?

  • How does HCP differ from any other individual health and dental plan?

Individual group plans have slightly different rules, and although HCP is offered on a voluntary basis like an individual plan, we function like a true group benefits program. This allows us to offer valuable income protection to eligible employees which aren’t typically included in standard individual plans.

Our program includes an unparalleled offer for life, long term disability and accidental death disease and dismemberment benefits guaranteed.

  • Is there any added cost to the hospital?

No! Monthly premiums are the responsibility of the plan member (employee).

  • What employees are eligible for the HCP product?

Eligible employees are part-time, casual, temporary and/or contract employees not receiving benefits as part of their compensation. Employees who are retiring or losing benefits at age 65 are also eligible to receive coverage through HCP.

  • What does it mean to be an endorsing hospital?

Endorsing hospitals agree to communicate the availability of the HCP plan to any and all of your eligible employees, those employees have access to a better health care plan and more benefit offerings, with no medical questions asked.

While employees at any hospital may join the plan, employees of endorsing hospitals receive more robust protection, guaranteed, in comparison to what would be offered to them if their hospital was not an endorsing hospital.

  • What is an initial implementation?

Your endorsement begins with a 60-day initial implementation, during which any eligible employees will be extended our Complete or Complete Plus coverage, guaranteed. In addition to that any eligible new hires, employees who will lose their benefits (ie. switching from full-time to part-time) or future retirees will be offered their own individual 60-day open window so that they can benefit from your endorsement too.

  • What is required of our team should we endorse HCP?

What we ask of your team is active and ongoing support in communicating the availability of the plan to your employees at the time which they become eligible for our plan. We will provide all plan information, marketing materials and messaging to distribute to prospective employees and then we take it from there.

  • How does the hospital benefit from becoming an endorsing organization?

The hospital will benefit in a myriad of ways, including having access to the HCP proprietary products as well as other plan offerings for employees in unique situations. In addition, your employees will benefit from a higher level of guaranteed coverage only offered throughout the 60-day initial implementation and their own respective 60-day open windows where they meet the eligibility requirements.

  • Does HCP provide all the marketing and communications material required?

Yes! In addition to sending printed enrollment kits and marketing material, we also have digital assets available for use.

  • What is the HR Appreciation Program?

This is a program where you are able to earn rewards for your dedication and active support in communicating our plan to your eligible employees.

  • What is the Loyalty Program?

The loyalty program is in place to celebrate you being a part of the HCP endorsing hospital group at marked milestones throughout the years.

Are you prepared for the unexpected?

You never know what the future holds, but with HCP, you will have peace of mind knowing that you and your family are well protected.
