HCP provides group health benefits for part time and 

casual hospital employees

 

If you work an average of more than 18 hours a week as a permanent part time or

casual employee you are eligible to apply for Plan 1 benefits

 

 

Plan 1 benefits include:  

 

• - Life Insurance
• - Accidental Death, Disease & Dismemberment
• - Long Term Disability
• - Optional Dental Care

- Extended Health Care (including drugs)

 

Plan 1 Extended Health Care is offered at 3 different coverage levels:

 

• - Essential*
• - Complete
• - Optimum

 

*Regardless of your health or when you apply, if you are a part time hospital

employee you are guaranteed basic (or Essential) coverage.

 

However, depending on when you apply and where you work, you may be

guaranteed the additional coverage of the Complete level at the same rate.

Applicants who submit Form 2 may be considered for the most extensive coverage (Optimum level) at no additional cost.

 

 

Note:  Eligibility will be calculated according to your average hours worked per week.

Hours worked at another hospital may be included in this calculation.
