Plan 1A Core coverage enables you to protect your income if you are unable to work due to sickness or injury. This coverage is individual and cannot be provided through a spouse's plan.

Leave the door open for family members who may need benefits in the future

If your protection under this plan is guaranteed, you also secure for your family the opportunity to join one of the plans which include health care benefits, at any time in the future, should you lose your spousal or other group health benefits for any reason.


Please Note: Plan 1A is available to you only if you are already covered for extended health care benefits through a spouse's plan or another group plan.

Plan 1A includes (for about $1 per day):

 

• - Long Term Disability Insurance
• - Accidental Death, Disease and Dismemberment
• - Guarantee of future coverage should you lose your current benefit plan for any reason
